本橋信宏『フルーツの夜』（幻冬舎アウトロー文庫）
著者は元来ノンフィクションの人だ。それも著しくアングラ寄りの。そして『フルーツの夜』
舞台となるのは1991年からのおよそ10年間。ノンフィクションライターの「僕」が薬漬けの日々から脱し、やがて夫となり父となるまでの時間が、その特異ともいえる人間関係を軸に語られる。
これはどう読んでみても著者自身の物語だ。
そう感じるのは人の描かれ方や時代風俗の切り取り方がとてもリアルなせいでもあり、登場人物がいちいち現実の著名人を連想させるせいでもある。本橋信宏の他の著作をチラッとでも見れば誰しもそう思うはずだ。もちろん小説として書かれている以上、そこには創作が多寡を問わず含まれ、物語としてコントロールされていることは間違いない。
著者自身の言葉でいえば「外連」だ。
あとがきでのネタバラシは余計だったけれど、連作としての構成にも遊び心を持って気が配られている。その点明らかにノンフィクションとは一線を画している。そういう意味では、私小説と呼ぶのが一番近いかもしれない。
この小説が私小説として稀有なのは、同時にビルドゥングスロマンでもあるところだ。「僕」は作中の10年間で明らかな成長を示す。『フルーツの夜』
謂れのない漠然とした不安に効く小説である。

Zune and iPod: Most people compare the Zune to the Touch, but after seeing how slim and surprisingly small and light it is, I consider it to be a rather unique hybrid that combines qualities of both the Touch and the Nano. It's very colorful and lovely OLED screen is slightly smaller than the touch screen, but the player itself feels quite a bit smaller and lighter. It weighs about 2/3 as much, and is noticeably smaller in width and height, while being just a hair thicker.
